Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Having been in Italy for 5 days, your body starts craving vegetables and salads- anything but pasta This little osteria on the side street was the only one which offered 2 soups an a salad main, so my nephew and I booked a table outside! The ribollita was just the perfect dish to nourish the soul! If you are in Pisa, do take a detour! Oh, my nephew rated Carbonara a 9!"
"10 out of 10!! the place is super cozy with a warm, welcoming vibe, and the staff were incredibly kind and friendly. We had the spaghetti pesto, pappardelle al porcini, and lasagna napolitana everything was delicious. We even had dessert!! The prices were veryyy reasonable for the quality. Definitely recommend this spot:))"
"We came across this place looking for a quick dinner option. It was indeed a good choice. The pizza was delicious and bruchetta was great too. It was my first time to try fried salad (local dish?) and it was a bit bitter but I suppose it should taste like that. All came fast, served by nice waiter. For desert we took a tiramisu to share, also pretty good. We spent 37 euro."
"Lovely family place, with attentive and very friendly service. Good food, generous portions, and good value for money. I got the coffee for free: that’s what I call a warm Italian welcoming! I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something traditional and genuine."
"Really delicious dinner, we didn’t have a starter but could see those that other people had and they looked lovely. Our main courses were really tasty and the dessert was wonderful. Although the decor was really nice the music was bizarre - Nirvana doesn’t bring Tuscan vibes so although a nice walk down memory lane it didn’t really bring anything to the atmosphere hence only 2 stars. May just have been that night though so don’t let it put you off, the food more than makes up for it. The staff were very friendly and the service excellent."
"They had the second best food I have ever ate and the best I have ever had in Europe. The wild boar in particular was sinfully good. I found myself making strange sounds of joy while I was eating it. The texture was absolutely perfect, it fell apart in my mouth, the flavor of the meat and sauce was both complex and approachable. A perfect blend of seasonings and fresh high quality meat. My fiancée had a fantastic vegetable soup and pasta. The service was also great. To top it all off the prices were beyond reasonable. Including drinks the meal was less than 66€ or about 1/3 what I would expect to pay back home in California for a similar meal. Our tiramisu was also fantastic, amazing texture and just the right amount of sweetness. Our waitress Beatrice was super nice and spoke great English."
"Nice restaurant overall. We took 1 pizza (quatre fromages), gnocchi and Italian fresh pasta (home made) with a local beef meat marinated in tomato sauce. It was well done, we really enjoyed the food, the service was a bit long though but no big issue."
"The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was good, but based on the reviews and ratings, our expectations were higher. We tried three different pasta dishes and a meat dish, all were nice but nothing exceptional. Overall, it’s a pleasant place for dinner, just not as impressive as we expected."
